Why would the latter religions be favored?

Think of it this way. According to the Judeo/Christian/Muslim approach, the first born is given prime domain to inherit the family's wealth. With this in mind and thousands of years on earth, why would some of the last religions forming on earth (Christianity, Islam and Baha'i) arrogantly think they are the main inheritors of the spiritual realm?
