Why Oh, why? It's so mean!?

I couldn't agree with you more. A lot of stuff in the bible and in church teachings is very cruel. The new testament is already a lot better than the old testament. There is a lot of good stuff in Christianity, it has a lot of potential. But there is a lot of bad stuff as well, and as a young person that might be hard to handle.
